Sterilization and Package Performance Testing
These tests, which are conducted to verify whether sterilized and packaged products are sealed in accordance with standards, are of great importance to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the products. Within this scope, the following checks are performed:
- Package Strength: Testing the durability of the packaging materials.
- Visual Inspection: Observing the package for any deformation, leakage, or other defects.
- Seal Width Check: Examining the sealed areas of the packaging.
- Seal Integrity Test: Determining the sealing capability.
These performance tests are carried out in accordance with international standards. The main standard tests used are:
- ASTM F88/F88M: Test method for measuring the seal strength of sterile barrier materials.
- ASTM F1929: Dye penetration method for detecting seal leaks in porous medical packaging materials.
- ASTM D5276: Standard test method for drop testing of loaded containers by free fall.
These tests are meticulously applied to validate the effectiveness of sterilization and packaging processes and to determine whether the products meet international quality and safety requirements. At Oxigen Analysis Laboratory, we carry out these tests with high precision to ensure product safety.
