Detergent Residue Analysis

Detergent Residue Analysis allows for the detection of residues left by detergents used to clean substances such as oils, auxiliary materials, and microbiological contaminants in production processes. Especially after production cleaning procedures, contamination may occur on the product due to both oil residues and the effects of the detergent used. Therefore, washing and rinsing processes are of great importance.

At Oxigen Analysis Laboratory, we ensure the precise analysis of such residues. According to various applicable standards, we detect and quantify detergent residues left on the product.

Detergent Residue Analysis is conducted in accordance with the following standards:

  • ISO 2271: Surface active agents — Detergents — Determination of anionic-active matter by manual or mechanical direct two-phase titration procedure
  • ASTM F 2459-18: Standard Test Method for Extracting Residue from Metallic Medical Components and Quantifying via Gravimetric Analysis
